I was reading this article online and it was saying how houses involved in tragedy go for much less then they normally would.
Mike Vicks house where they did Dog fighting, and Chris Beniots House where he murdered his wife, child, and killed himself were a couple of the examples used. They went for about 35-40 percent of what they would normally cost.
Personally I dont really care what happened before I arrived. But I suspect others definitly would. Would you live in a house where something terrible happened?
Doesn't matter to me. As long as its been professionally cleaned, and hopefully if there aren't too many gawkers outside taking pictures.
In fact we were interested in an old Victorian (before we decided to build new) and were joking about starting rumors that it was "the Murder House" to eliminate competition!!
Unfortunately then we looked at the inside and realized there was NO WAY we were taking on this rennovation project!
So the murder house rumor was stopped before it could begin...
nope. would have a hard time living in a house where someone was murdered. Probably wouldn't bother me if someone passed on from natural causes though.

That wouldn't bother me either, but not a violent death.
I would buy it if it was cheap only to resell it again later down the road... but no I wouldn't live in it... I have a certain of what I want for my house and there are no houses like what I want... not the millions and millions of homes out there... not one single one of them...
