This is the display on my 6 month old LG Tromm Washer:

Same thing is happening with the matching dryer.

Ive never used any chemicals on the display, just wiped it with a dry cloth.

I contacted LG who told me the warranty doesnt cover cosmetic damage. This isnt damage, its a defect!

The set isnt even paid off yet!

Anyone else?

Hmmm I have the red set of LG and haven't had a problem with that. The only problem I had was that I sat the detergent bottles on the washing machine and they scratched the top I've had my set for 1.5 years.

For as much as those things cost, I'm really surprised.

I have the red washer & dryer. No problems with finish. I do have problems with off-brands of bleach & softner leaking out of dispenser onto the outside corner of the washer. This leakage has not damaged the finish. Other than that, I'm happy with washer & dryer.

Sorry, MammaLakn. I've had mine (the white set) for about 14 months. No problems whatsoever.

I have had mine for almost 2 years the white set and have never had a bit of trouble cosmetic or otherwise. Have you tried going through the store you purchased the set from?

I have had my LG for 10 months and the only trouble was a minor gasket leak that was replaced under warranty

Heck if it's operational, just put some white tape on the machine and write the controls in..

Ours is 7 months old and no issues such as that.
