How big is it? It sort of looks like an asp. Sort of short, fat, fuzzy caterpillar type thing?

Pretty small. Probably about the size of the "1" on your keyboard, maybe a little smaller.

I don't know what it is.. But can I ask where you live? We just moved to Tennessee from California in April and can't believe the amount of BUGS that are here...

Hmmm, I get something like these occasionally too. I did a google image search and I think mine are carpet beetle larvae.

look up carpet beetle larva... i have the same bug, and now that i know wat it is i can hopefully prevent more from coming
