I have never heard of this, sounds a bit like it is too good to be true!

We want to get either new cement fiber siding next year, or paint our existing wood siding with a paint that lasts a long time. So I am starting my research now...

Rhino cannot be bought and used by consumers, but must be applied by a dealer.
Hold onto your purse!
If you prep right, caulk well, buy top quality paint, and paint properly, you will have a good job that will last a very long time.
These amazing paints only work if the surface and the job meet all those criteria.

Thanks for your input! Would such a paint job be about as expensive as getting new siding?
I like our wood siding, but it needs some work and I have read good things about Hardiplank siding here on the forum, so were were considering it. But then I heard about this paint... and it sounds like a great product.

Looked into the Rhino paint. We have a historic home. Besides the cost being prohibitive (over $100,000. We determined that it looks too much like a plastic coating over the siding. It is not like paint. Everything we do to the exterior of the house has to be approved by the historical society. They probably would not approve Rhino if we wanted to use it.

OMG, over $100.000!!! Well, that rules it out for us .
Our home isn't historic, it's just a boring old 50's cape cod house, otherwise I wouldn't consider the cement fiber siding either.
I LOVE old houses!

Keep in mind that our house is pretty big and really old so a lot of that money is for preparation and repairs. Even paint is $35,000 to $50,000. UNless I do the prep work myself.

Painting is all about preparation. The biggest thing is to make sure you replace the bad sections if you have any and it's thoroughly cleaned before you start. Rhino is expensive
