Tweeking my house is my idea of a fun day. Today, I'm excited because I got a new iron and a fresh can of Niagra, and I'm looking forward to some ironing.
Bigger fun is in store, since we're finishing up a bathroom remodel and it's almost time to put it back together.
Don't get me wrong, there are things I don't enjoy like cleaning the refrigerator and washing floors, but for the most part, I love housekeeping.

I can't really say that I "love" house cleaning but I do love a clean house. Since there are only 2 ways that is gonna happen (a maid or me) I end up do something every day that would be considered "housecleaning". Today is mopping the kitchen & cleaning the bathrooms. Not glamorous but I get a lot of satisfaction out of it.
I do enjoy some aspects of housekeeping, and can revel in a job well done for days ... or, for as long as the "job well done" stays that way! I enjoy spreading a fresh tablecloth on the dining room table, or re-arranging the flotsam and jetsam on the china closet. And while cleaning a closet is a major PITA, the satisfaction in finally doing it can last for days.
Cleaning the refrigerator sounds like more fun than ironing, though.
You girls, have a point. When I was working, I had Molly Maids, and to come home from work to those gleaming floors and sparkling bathrooms was a joy. I guess, like you, I love THE RESULT, not so much the doing.
I do find ironing very relaxing and satisfying, though.
I find ironing painful. I never fail to burn myself, somewhere on my body. *sigh* Never used to mind it -- I'd spend hours ironing my pleated cotton blouses and rayon skirts and dresses.
Now I just toss 'em in the dryer and hope for the best. I'm turning into my mother. *sigh*
I totally enjoy it...I work outside the home during the week and love to clean my home on the weekends...all aspects of it, laundry, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc. And to look back when I am done and see the fruits of my labor puts a big smile on my face. When I am cleaning, I have every TV on in the house so as I move from room to room, I am entertained or I put on some music. My routine is normally Saturdays, I cook for the weekend, then I clean then I get a shower, have some wine and enjoy a nice freshly cleaned house with some great food on the stove...just writing this makes me anticipate Saturday.
