Does anyone know if it’s 2 twin bed mattresses that makes a queen or king size bed? Or 2 single bed that makes a king size bed? I wanted to combine 2 separate mattresses when lying on the bed with my husband, because I can’t stand him tossing around at nite, I’m a light sleeper, anyone did this before? We looked at the less motion mattresses and we tried lying on them, doesn’t seem to help much, that’s why I thought of getting 2 separate mattresses on one king or queen size bed frame. Thanks.

Two twin box springs are 6 ft, 6 inches wide.
Each one is 3 ft, 3 inches wide. That is why they used to be called 3/3 box springs. The XL's are 80 inches long.
That's what is used to make the foundation for a king size mattress which is 6 ft, 6 inches wide and 80 inches long.
These were called 6/6 mattresses.
The reason for the two 3/3 box springs was because box springs don't bend therefore making it hard to get them around a corner such as a stair landing. Imaging trying to get a 6/6 box spring, 80 inches long around a close corner.
The 6/6 mattress will bend to get around a corner.
I would suggest two separate twin beds because if you hook two twins together on the same frame you are still going to feel each others movements. Just make an agreement that you both have visitation rights when you feel like ---ah --visiting.

PS- A standard double bed is 4 ft, 6 inches wide--4/6
A queen is 5 ft wide--5/0
