I will try and make this short. Before a car backed into our home nov 1st we had no problems. A car hit the back of our home into my sons bathroom in a finished basement. whole bathroom ,shower and all had to be gutted. Our washer is on the other side of his wall. When the washer goes int rinse cycle ONLY, it makes his new toilet bubble and you can hear it in his new shower too, and the sink, suds acutually come into the toilet. We told the plumber, he did some new pipe work with the draining, but it is still happening ,
does anyone know why? Thank you!

The vent is damaged or missing. Plumber must have missed it.

the drainage for the washer is normally higher than the toilet. maybe it has something to do with that

I'm gonna take a guess and say it's the vent.

If it is the vent, it might not even be related to the accident. Weirder things have happened. Shoot, it's even possible that something got stuck in the vent on your roof.

I assume this is a lower-level laundry room & bathroom setup? If that's the case, are you hearing any weird sounds in the other plumbing of your house?

It is also remotely possible that it's something as basic as a mostly-clogged drain. It's during the rinse cycle that the washing machine dumps a LOT of water out - far more than a flushing toilet would. Just a thought...
