We were out today looking at dishwashers and our local appliance dealer recommended Electrolux. I have been trying to research them for reliability but have not found much. I know they are new to the US but have been around for years. Anyone have any experience with them? Jay

I don't have one but here is a website that has some user reviews on them. Just look for the models with reviews connected to them.

Epinions.com - Search Results: electrolux dishwasher

Thanks - I have read these opinions and they sound pretty positive. I am just wondering if anyone has had any problems with them. One reviewer had some issues but they appear to be with Lowes and not with Electrolux. In fact it sounds like Electrolux was pretty proactive with helping correct the situation.

The one post that does say something somewhat negative compares it to their old dishwasher. I am sure that old dishwasher used a lot more water and that is why the cycle length is shorter.

Anyway, thanks for helping. I appreciate it. Anyone else have any information? Jay

I have one-but it is only 1 month old. No problems yet-very quiet. The only thing that I did realize it seems like it is a little longer than regular dishwashers. The bottom rack is closer to the floor making you bend a little more when loading/unloading the lower rack. Not really a problem for me-just had to get used to it.

We just bought all new kitchen appliances a couple of months ago. I narrowed it down to two brands, Electrolux and KitchenAid. I liked them both equally well, but I chose KitchenAid. I just figured that if something did go wrong with any of them, the parts would be more readily available and the servicemen would be more knowledgeable about working on them because KitchenAid has been around longer in the US than Electrolux. The Electrolux dishwasher is very similar to the KitchenAid, but (if I remember correctly) the Electrolux did have some extra little wine glass gizmos. The look is amazingly similar, very clean with the hidden electronic controls.

Okay, well the old diswasher finally did it, it died. The pump is not removing the water anymore so we are going to need to get a new one. Anyone have suggestions on what to buy.

I have read Consumer Reports and there do not appear to be any one that is better than another. I liked the Electrolux but some say it is just a Frigidare with some extra features. What do you think?

Anyway, we are trying to decide what to buy. I want something that will last, be quiet and be less than $1,000. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jay
