I am only the second owner so I didn't really find anything itneresting...they left a birdhouse in the shape of a lighthouse in the backyard but thats about it.
Just to show you what house fever can do to your vision - we bought a home built in 1904 that had been completely restored - and was absolutely beautiful. Took our breath away...re-done floors, bathrooms restored but with the original claw foot tubs - brand new kitchen - all window pulleys working.....oh, we were in heaven. Lovely 2 story Craftsman which started out as one story and the attic had been taken in since the original house only had two bedrooms - and when we moved in we used the upstairs bedroom with pocket library doors as the master, which is what the people before us did - little cute alcoves under the hipp roof for sitting areas. So quaint and charming - the previous owners had harvested old flooring from houses being torn down and a bannister from an old orphanage. It literally was the house we dreamed of. What a surprise when we moved in and discoved - the master bedroom had no closets.....
