Anyone with a home that beautiful has no trouble affording an Interior Designer. That kitchen alone is a hundred thousand dollar kitchen. Top notch, first class!!
But it is not the OPs kitchen:
Quote:
I've attached too pics of designs that I like from on the web.
The bottom three photos are examples she hopes to emulate.
To the OP: the conflict I see is that your current decor is quite modern and minimalist, and the examples you posted are very "Traditional" and "Old World" in feel.
I think the first LR would be difficult to replicate; it looks like it is in an older home (tall ceilings, masses of dark woodwork) or a home that was build to look old. I think you could pull off LR #2 with your current floor plan/fireplace. Do you plan to replace your furniture?
As far as you kitchen goes, I can't say how much work you have to do to get the look of your example kitchen, without seeing a pic of your current kitchen.
Basements are tricky. Are you absolutely 100% sure yours is bone-dry? If not, I would stay away from carpet. I'm a fan of "functional" basements; used for storage, laundry, workout rooms, perhaps a game room, unless they are "walkout". In that case you can treat it like any other level of the house.

Thats what I initially thought, but the kitchen remained confusing for two reasons:
1) She didn't provide a picture of her actual kitchen (if the one she provided was just an example from the web).
2) Her phrasing indicates a mispelling: "I've attached too pics of designs that I like from on the web." That wording really sounds like the last TWO pictures are examples from the web, not the picture of the kitchen.
We'll never know unless she comes back and participates in these threads.

Nor has anyone (but you one time) ever answered any of her other identical posts. Maybe too early to tell but when new posters post something like that it usually turns out to be some one just looking to stir things up and then poof!!...they are gone. We shall see I guess......
You posted this word for word and picture for picture like 5 times in various places. Is this a scam? You dont need any advice. I suspect you are showing off. That kitchen even impresses me. You dont know me but others in this forum do. Getting a compliment from me on some ones kitchen is real real real hard to do. It has to be as good as it can get. The decor in the other rooms would put 99% of the homes out there to shame. And believe me, I walk into more homes in one day them most people do in 3 lifetimes. I have seen it all.
And you are unhappy and bored with it? This may sound mean but it ain't, you might have more fun counting your money then showing off your wealth to us blue collar folks.
You are obviously just being ignorant. The OP clearly stated that the last pictures are from the web and are meant as inspiration. these are not her house. Maybe next time you should read before you type up a response..
As for the house, I think with some more colors, not necessarily bright colors, but complimenting as you go from livingrm, to hallway to kitchen it will add some interest and define spaces but still have it flow.
Also so accesories and/or art on the wall would help warm it up.
The basement you should have plenty of space to do what you like, it will all depend on scale..
Good luck and give us an update when it is all done..
