Hello,
I just moved into my newly built rural house (well system with contant pressure pump controller) and I have been occasionally noticing a short burst of air coming out of my main floor bathroom tap. This is the only set of taps in the house that have this issue. Never hear it from any of the toilets, showers or baths either. It seems to come mainly from the cold side (single faucet system for the hot/cold). This bathroom is the closest to the where the water enters the house.
Any help would be appreciated!

Contact the driller. It could just need resetting or be a sensor.

I would install a one way pressure check valve in the pipe to that one fawcett. I have a similar system that has two pressure guages. One guage at the pump...then the pressure check valve and then the 2nd guage. Always have a constant 50-60 lbs after the regulator to the fawcett. I set this system up by myself.

Pump will come on at 35 lbs. I changed the setting to suit my needs above the factory mfg setting.

Steve

Sorry guys, but I don't quite understand your comments. Can you please explain your posts?
For a better description of what I see: when I turn on the cold water tap, I get normal water flow for a couple of seconds, then what seems like a 1/2 second of air, then normal water flow after that. What do you think is the cause of this?
Thanks again for your help...

There are a few possibilities. The two most likely are the pump for the well could be sucking air, or the water could be naturally slightly carbonated. Since the bathroom cold tap is the first one the water hits, the air in the plumbing gets expressed there. Lowering the submersible pump or foot valve might be an answer or might not. You have no problem at all with the hot water?

Backing up a sec. There is a constant pressure to the fawcett valve...when turned on the pressure will drop for a sec and probably the pump may be coming on when the pressure is reduced. Has to be a air pocket in the setup being the problem is is in the lower pipe in relation to the pump. Just might be in the pipe at that area connection wise. Hard to diagnoze over the internet without seeing the setup. Also do not know the guage setting on the pressure switch.

Has to be a air pocket in the pipe via connections.

This is a computerized system. It is new, do not mess with it!!!!! You could void your warranty. I saw one act like that and the air was getting in thought the hot water tank. The driller needs to look at it. Do not wait.

Nope the pressure will not drop, not with this system. It has a variable speed pump.

Do you have a constant pressure system?? If so just use your remote.
