Three fans that I know of are the best in the market are (1) Casablanca, (2) Hunter and (3) Hampton Bay. Casablanca is the being the most pricey of the three, but its the best in quietness and long lasting. All three are the best on the market and last a longtime.
Actually, it's only one of those- and only a certain type.
Hunter. The original cast iron units with the oilers for the bearings. Had one in my old house that ran continuously for at least 15yrs. Oiled it ever year when I changed rotation. I imagine it's still going strong with the new homeowners.
It's just a shame there's not any "Made in the USA" anymore.

That's why I stick with pull chains or wall mounted switches . I would never buy a fan or light system with a remote. I don't mind getting up, walking over to the wall switch, or chain and turning on the fan or light. Besides, I don't think any of them make their own remotes, those are made by other companies.
Mine made a "clicking" sound. Turns out the wire nuts were tapping against the housing that covered the wiring where it was mounted to the ceiling. The next time it happens, unscrew the housing and let it drop and see if that stops the noise.
Ceiling fan struggles and the highest speed is slow. Is the motor shot
Did you take out the rubber stops after the install, or is it older than dirt?
