Glad you resolved your issue, but I don't get how a landlord would think he should rent a house without good water. If he doesn't care about his tenants, he should at least care about his pipes getting clogged with minerals.
You'd think so. This is a nice house (newer build, great area, would sell for about $370k). So he's certainly not a slum lord. The Culligan guy tested the water and found it to be 20 grains, which I guess is not bad compared to lots of places. Perhaps the owner came from a lot worse.

I have hard water, it just doesn't bother me. It is just what you are accustomed to. Glad you got it handled!!!!
