I just watched a story on the Today Show about a man in Texas who saves discarded materials from landfils to make magical, unique houses to sell to those who could not otherwise afford a home.
He also uses untrained workers to help build them, so they learn a skill.
This was the best thing I've seen on TV in forever. It was satisfying in so many ways..
The styles are whimsical. The materials are natural. They are so the opposite of cookie cutter that it was a breath of fresh air.
The man is finding complete satisfaction in his work, and making a living.
He's helping the planet.
He's helping other people.
I think perfect happiness must be expressing one's creativity and a balance between giving and getting.
