Bought a GE Daylight compact fluorescent bulb that puts out the light of a 100 watt bulb but only uses about 28 watts. Installed the bulb and glass light cover and I had an instant cheap flood light. This light covers a lot of the yard without a lot of energy being used. Only worry is spring when it'll attract all the bugs in the area. Am currently looking for yellow bug lights that are fluorscent and put out a similiar amount of light.
I'm not sure that they make them anymore, but if you find them let me know! I have purchased compact fluorescent yellow bug lights in the past, and need to replace 2 of them, and I can't find them anywhere around here.
They weren't as bright as the GE Daylights, though, and I'm not sure if that they'd be all that bright since that yellow on there is pretty dark.
I wanted a blue light for football season to signal a win. They have yellow lights too. If you can't find them anywhere else you can pay just a tad more and get them from here.
