I am considering a wall mounted faucet for my jacuzzi tub. I am wondering if all the wall mounted faucets I see can have the controls located somewhere else near the tub. For instance, the faucet on the wall and the controls on the "deck" part of the tub?

Is this possible?

thx in advance

But I wouldn't begin to try and tell you how- you would really need a plumber to look at the actual job to figure it out and quote a price.

Most wall-mounted tub faucets are all one peice behind the wall, it's a long double valve housing with the spigot and drain, it's all integrated so any gland leakage from the valves goes into the drain.

That said if you are willing to put the valves into, for example recessed metal boxes, you can put the hot valve and the cold valve essentially anywhere else in the house that you want - realize the valves I am talking about are not necessarily standard tub-type valves, you could probably put a more decorative handle on them, but these would be standard globe valves.

The spigot itself could be completely independent of the 2 valves, just that the 2 valves pipes have to join at the spigot.

If you are in an area where anti-scald hardware is required, that would make it harder to do.

If you do individual valves, do yourself a favor and set them up with positive shutoff ball valves and unions in the piping so the system is easy to maintain. You will thank yourself eventually.
