hmmm... very interesting Renaud, the numbers you are speaking of come from the Office of Immigration 2010 Statistics, Homeland Security Report - the 32,022 in net international migration for Houston in 2009 is correct, which makes up 2.8% of the total international migration into the United States for 2009 - But its looks as if you took the national average migration by country for the entire U.S. and not Houston to come up with your own numbers -

And nigerian migration to the US and Texas grow.
In 2000 the US accepted 6,000 nigerians but in 2009 it was 16,000 ! And Texas is their favorite destination.
It's just the beginning, in 30 or 40 nigerian americans will be many in the state.

They probably know about the possibility of broken glass and pebbles, but that's their responsibility. And one can be educated and take risky choices.

yah sure but theyre teens. 13-16yos walking barefoot in the middle of the street around a 10+ block neighborhood where higher standards are expected from its residents is not a 'choice' but more like rebellion, a 'look at me' statement or plain mockery of the standards. that is ghetto. katy can keep their nigerians, i'll stick with mowing in boxer shorts, walking in pajamas vietnamese
