Can you confirm this?
We need to be close to some good private pre-schools (Montessori or Catholic).
Thanks
Yes, it is safe -but so is Jersey Village - and they have apartments, too. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the apartments you suggested, just the commute won't be that great.

Thanks a lot Chery. I wouldn't mind getting closer to work. I was looking at the area on Memorial Dr. between Gessner and Voss but all the apartment complexes seem to be right off I-10.

i personally would rather drive I-10 that 290. don't know exactly where your job will be near 290 @ 610. but once you hit 610 from I-10, you'll be going opposite way of traffic, so you'd be ok there.

Thanks for the tip. My job will be on Dacoma St. (east side). If there would be no traffic going from west Memorial to my office, I believe the commute will be just 20 min (it's 13.5 miles). I plan on leaving at 7 a.m. anyway and get there early. I wish it wouldn't take more than 45 min on the way back (I get off at 5 p.m.).

leaving at 7am should be good...i think the traffic really backs up a lil later than that....and although you'll be going with the flow of traffic after work, I-10 moves at either posted speed limit or slightly slower than the speed limit (outside of the 610 loop)....so it isn't too bad if ya moved out to I-10.

Thanks a lot! It's good to know. We'll definitely choose the west Memorial area.
