Lots of people bike here. Lots of great swimming pools in Cinco Ranch. Churches are full of activities.

We have been here for two years now all I can say are nice things about Katy. I do see most of the youth here involved in many activities. It may be athletic, performing arts, etc. There is plenty to do here in Katy.

I do tell my friends that if you are single or married and no children you may not like it here.

I go to Taylor, and believe me when I say there's nothing to do in this place. It's a dead suburb with a ton of cookie-cutter houses and grocery stores.

My own daughter would tell you that there is nothing to do in Katy itself. Particularly in the area around SLHS because it's mostly residential - kids can walk to a convenience store or Mr. Donut - that's about it for now. Katy Mills mall is a Jr High hangout.

One of the greatest experiences of all time is going to Friday night HS football games in Katy. Bar none, this is Texas at its finest.

Once kids outgrown the splash pads and neighborhood parks in the burbs, they do grow bored.

Around my neighborhood they seem to be daycamp volunteers, shelter volunteers, hangout at social clubs together, go from house to house to hang in the evenings, sports camps, gyms and personal training, tutoring and getting tutoring for the start of school, all mixed in with family vacations. They seems pretty busy, we don't seem to see any bored-distructive behavior.

Yes, and my daughter is in New York for a month at a pre-college program - Katy is going to seem duller than usual when she returns.
