When will Publix enter the Houston market?

I just spent a week in Ft. Lauderdale - Hallandale SoFl area and asked the Publix Manager the same question - He told me they already have a Warehouse in the Ft. Worth Area and are working on rolling out a new pilot concept in TX called "Publix Sabor" in the Dallas - Ft. Worth Market that will cater mostly to the Hispanic market - They already have a couple of these concept stores open in Miami -

The thing I like about Publix, besides their pricing is they have excellent produce, meats and fish - yes better than Randalls and HEB - and the Staff always seems to be having a good time while working there - maybe Houston will get one in a few years.

What do we need more grocery chains for? We have HEB, Kroger, Whole Foods, Randalls, Fiesta, and the usual Super Target/Walmart Supercenters. And Publix doesn't even go further west than Alabama. "Good luck!" getting them here A&M Bulldawg: http://store.publix.com/publix20020115/

Are you required to use one of those stupid cards at Publix? I do not think my keychain has enough room for one more. Egads.
