To me, it seems like the only grocery stores in Houston are HEB and Kroger. That's just in my opinion. I know that I could be wrong about there only being two chain grocery stores in the area. Considering the fact that Publix is a southern grocery store, wil it ever come to Houston and create competition among other grocery chains?

There's Randall's too, but they are very expensive. I have never been to a Publix and would like to try it out. I REALLY want Trader Joe's.

We also have Whole Foods, Central Market, Rice Epicurean plus any number of smaller ethnic grocers. I usually go to the Krogers in River Oaks.

Ha! Ha! Ha! I just notice that Houston doesn't have a lot of chain grocery stores. I really hope they get a lot in the future.

Tell that to Safeway, Albertson's, Apple Tree and Food Lion. They all gave it a shot and left with their tails between their legs.

They all SUCK and HEB is all we need. I've been to Food Lion, Publix, Albertson, and Safeway. Publix comes the closes, but HEB is still better.

Well we have H.E.B, Fiesta, Kroger, Whole Foods, and a few others. We have more than two.
