This is from a travel website. Houston ranks as the second most boring city in the world to visit according to them. What do you guys think?
I think there's a bunch of people who live in Houston and find their lifestyles fairly satisfactory. And if they need something not found in Houston there's plenty of highways, sky ways and sea ways to get away.

Or in ten words or less... Houston is not a tourist trap.

I hate this for the city. There seems like there are nightclubs on top of nightclubs in Houston. There's the beach. There are smaller amusement parks. There are parks. How could Houston be boring? I know it's more fun than Atlanta, right?

Why would anyone take an opinion list written on some nobody's blog seriously. Anyone who would give that list any credibility is an idiot.

We got kemah boardwalk in one corner of the metro, galveston on another, museum district, and our downtown area which may be coming along, but still has too many voids between the points of interest which makes it feel pretty weak. The galleria is also on its way to being played out, but its still one of houston's most prized possessions.

Houston may be trying to build more entertainment venues inside of the city and it needs to keep focusing on downtown and areas close to. It still needs more though. It needs a district that has more 24 hour spots, clubs, magic and comedy stages (other than just the improv), other shopping areas, farmers markets, all in a general area. I am giving credit to discovery green, houston pavilions, and the packaged theater district.

It just needs more.
I agree with this. The drawing board (600 sq miles ) is just too big for every mile of it to be inter esting.

That would be subjective. Atlanta has nothing to do with this article..

Houston is doing better then almost most of the country economic wise.

Much lower unemployment rate.
Booming housing market.
Affordable/Low cost of living vs higher salary.

I'm getting out there for Robert Plant here in a few hours.

The quality of venues in the city is getting better. House of Blues provides a good middle ground between a small club and the big ampitheater/stadium gig, which I'm not a huge fan of in a lot of cases. Seeing the Nine Inch Nails light show a few years ago is a perfect exception to that. Didn't see that at CWMP but at Walnut Creek in Raleigh which is pretty much the same setup. And it's out in BFE too.
