You will need to live in the Spring district.

if you want to do that type of transfer I think you have to have a very good reason--not just because your want to--and you probably have to pay a fee

check the web site for the district you live in and see if you can request a transfer to another district
and also check the district you want to move to as well
some districts are full and don't accept any special transfers unless it might be children of employees--like teachers' kids who live outside where the parents teach...

basically think you are out of luck...

Schools generally have busses, why does her mother need to drive?

If the school has a special program, you can apply to the program. However, your application will not be consdiered until aafter all the in-dostrict students apply.

I live in Lamar CISD and wanted my daughter to go to DeBakey (HISD). O could apply but my daughter's application would not be considered until after all the HISD stdents applied and accepted. If there wew slots remaining, out-of-districts students would be considered, This never happened because there is always HISD students trying to get into the program,

I would not advise you to break the lawm nut some people use an in-district friend or family address to attend school.

It's not IMPOSSIBLE>

Kids in Katy ISD can get into Strafford (Spring Branch) through transfer requests, due to the drive to Katy High schools and the house location. Heck there are 4 that have transfered out of Cinco Ranch HS into Memorial HS...we're all trying to figure out how they swung that one.

You can request to transfer, and you have better chances of being accepted if your kids don't have gang-related/bad behavior issues. Also, it's a plus if your kid has a good record of passing the TAKS tests.

About transportation - one of the common stipulations is that when they enroll a kid from out of the district, the parent has to be the one doing the transportation. Spring ISD isn't going to pay to send a bus to your house just to pick up your kid.

Perhaps if there is a special program the kid is getting into, there might be special provisions...?

Grrrrrr!

Let's do that. Let's just falsify records at the school. Wunderbar. Let's teach our young ones all the wonderful ways to circumvent the system!

That way, there's no way the parents can be reached via snail mail, and god forbid if there are serious issues and a home visit is in order...

Bad, bad idea. "Cntrl + Alt + Del" that one!
