There's a little boat storage place and launch on route 105 on the southern shore of Conroe that has a little diner adjacent. I don't know the name.

Look for the Waterpoint Marina off of Rt. 105. I was there a few weeks ago and you can dock the boat and go bust a grub.

Papa's On the Lake is on Rt 105, basically at the Southernmost point of the lake. Look for the pink and turquoise building. Very casual - more of a hangout-and-have-a-beer place than a fine dining establishment, but they serve burgers, sandwiches, wings, etc.

Near Papa's there are several place that you can pull up a boat and eat. I believe there is even a Subway there now you can park and eat. If you can find them in town off of 105W you will see there are a lot to choose from.

Default Pappa's

My vote is Pappa's on the Lake...has/had.. live bands on Friday & Saturday evenings. Come in your bathing suit...very casual. Food is just "ok" but great ice-house crowd... enjoy.

We went to some place that had a ton of boat slips with a lot of outdoor seating. But the food was meh and the waitress was terrible.

Default Drive-up dining...

Unfortunately… fine drive-up dining is hard to find…lol. It’s more about the people & just “chill-in”.

If good food is what you crave.. get in the car and check out the German restaurant on 105 just past Walden road on the right...sorry but can't remember the name. Will be the only German restaurant around...uhm... good eats!

I only go to Conroe to get in my father-in-laws boat. I have no desire to to anything else there.

Papas and El Dorado Jacks are where I usually go. Not the best places, but still a nice stop for a few beers and burgers while on the lake
