You're not giving Houston enough credit for its music scene outside of rap, nor are you giving Nashville enough for its rap scene.

Houston also has bigger rock and pop scenes. Beyoncé? Hillary Duff? ZZ Top? What about reggae legend Johnny Nash?

I mean Tennessee including Nashville is one of the leading Blues scenes period. But that's one type of music.

Then you haven't seen anything. If Houston is extremely churchy to you, then there's not many non churchy places out there.

I have been here for almost 13 years and have never once been asked what church I go to. That would be awkward too because I am Jewish.
