Weather Blog: Record Hot August? | khou.com | khou.com blogs | 11 Weather Blog

Heat advisory from yesterday (Friday) to tomorrow (Sunday) evening. It's past 9PM and it's still 92 degrees outside. This entire month has been really bad...and apparently the hottest month in all of Houston's history.

I'm praying that we get a nuclear war to bring us an early winter.

Ok I can't argue this. August has been rough. I shelled out a little over $1000 to fix the ac in my car (broke 2 times), and oddly I don't feel bad for doing that. It's THAT hot. One of my outdoor plants died from the heat.

IT IS BRUTAL for about another month tho, then it will start to dip into the 80's which is actually good for us. Beats temps closer to 100

It's been hot for sure. This is my 4th Texas summer though and thankfully it has been much easier for me to deal than it was a few years ago. I totally get though why some people just can't handle it.

Last winter was one of the coldest for Houston. This summer is one of the hottest. Its almost like Houston is getting actual SEASONS. Let's hope for a real autumn.

Man, this summer seems so much worse than last year for some reason!

I've been pregnant through three summers, and they were each easier to handle than this.

I will say we had some absolutely perfect days last spring. Really looking forward to a few like that this fall.

Yes....fall and spring can be very, very nice. I really cannot wait until the temperatures really drop in October or November.
