This thread isn't meant to talk bad about anyone. I just want to get native Houstonians thoughts on out of staters coming down here. Is it a good thing for the most part? What do you think Houston will be like in 20 or 30 years with so many transplants arriving? Dont get this thread locked!

lol! We have always had transplants! I believe Houston is one of the most diverse cities there is with people from all over..it's one of those places where it can be hard to find the natives..It's worked so far as it is one of the friendliest cities, one of the top for finding jobs and one of the most affordable cities to live in..

We don't have scenery or great weather, but we do have great people. And many (most?) or those people are originally from other parts of the state/country/world. Diverse cities without pretense or major cultural issues are the ones that thrive because people can look past what makes us different and see what we have in common.
