Hi,

I am looking for recommendations for new home owners insurance + car insurance policy. Anyone had good experience with home insurance companies? Any recommendations?

I have Statefarm, some of my neighbors have GEICO.
Statefarm has its own field agents,I heard Geico does not.
So far I think Statefarm handles the winterstorm well, would like to hear from the other posters.

I have had USAA and Amica. I like both of them, but switched to Amica and am saving a lot for similar coverage. Both have great customer service though. What ever you do, stay away from Progressive. They were a major pain to deal with when I was hit by another driver who had them.

State Farm finally paid for my hail damaged roof, but it took almost 3 years of repeat inspections and complaints. Then my $1600/year premium was increased $100.

Never a car related claim with them.

Car insurance with them, even for my live-in opposite sex partner's car, requires carrying high limits due to my umbrella policy. We never drive each other's cars. No matter, she pays extra.

You need a PhD in insurance to figure all this out.

Mine just gone up $27.
It reminded me of other coverages I should consider, should I consider SERVICE LINE-COST OF REPAIRING DAMAGED UNDERGROUND UTILITY LINES?)
