I will be relocating to Houston. I'm looking for a 3 bedroom home, ranging up to 850.00, pet friendly, in a safe part of town.

At $850 monthly... a 3 bedroom home with a yard... in a "safe" part of town will be a challange... try Craigs list.

1000 is the turning point for a rental in a decent area - even then it won't be in the best of condition. $1200 is the turning point for the same area but in a lot better shape. Really nice shape is going to be $1400.

Where are you moving from - and how much are the rentals there?
