Its fun, alot of events. Bring cash. Just watch out for weather, dirt trails in park so can be muddy if rainy. Eat turkey legs!!!

I've never been...but I know that the goods will be quite overpriced, but that's how it is with any festivity like this. I definitely will be attending this year...some time.

Lots of fun. Leave early. If you try to leave at the end of the day the traffic is killer and you can get stuck in the parking lot for 45 minutes.

If you have teens and tweens they love it ... to me it seems like a big medieval drunkfest by the end of the day and if it is has been wet and rainy - a mudpit which sort of goes with the medieval theme. I prefer to go to the Bayou City Arts Festival which also starts today I believe. Different strokes........

Two more tips. Print the map and act schedule from the website before you go. Otherwise u have to spend $5 at door to get the book. Arsene at The Odeon stage is imo the best act at the show.

It's fun -- not something you need to do every year, but definitely something you need to do at least once.

What are good ages for the rennaisance festival? I haven't been in years, and would like to go again. I have a 4.5 year old. Too young?
