I am a project coordinator/manager for a home builder in Phoenix AZ. I am looking to make a move and was thinking about Houston and/or the surrounding areas. How strong is the building industry there? Are there many jobs for someone like myself? What do you think of Pasadena?

I don't know about Pasadena (wouldn't want to live there anyway) but there are homebuilders everywhere in Houston. New neighborhoods going up everywhere!

is Pasadena a bad community? I want to live somewhere between Houston and the ocean. Close enough to commute if need be - any suggestions?

A large section of the City of Pasadena is located in the vicinity of NASA in the Clear Lake area. The mailing address is Seabrook, Texas, but many of the homes are really in Pasadena. If you buy in this area, you will be close to the Bay, Kemah, and Clear Lake. The schools are excellent. Most important, there is always a breeze in the afternoons from the Bay.
