I have a house that I want to sell and I already have a buyer (relative). What would I need to do in order to accomplish this without getting a realtor involve?

Contact a local title company they can take care of all the paperwork for you.

I don't think they will do the contract for you - but they will do the title work and closing paperwork. I believe you can pick up a non-TREC contract at Office MAX. You might want to have a lawyer look at it before submitting it to the title company to make sure everything is legal, so it doesn't come back to bite you. Make sure the attorney is a real estate attorney if you go that route. Another option is have a realtor do it for a small flat fee since it will be easy - again, to make sure it's done to not come back to haunt you.

Or you can just pay a Realtor a flat fee to process the contract for you and then you take it from there with the title company.

A good Title company should help you make sure all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed.

Keep in mind that there will still be closing costs outside of realtor fees associated with your transaction.

I have used Alamo Title several times in the past, specifically Kerry Wakefield:

It`s hard to do it right and not have a Realtor or Attorney involved.
Basically you cannot do it yourself.

I agree Chris, not true at all. I've sold two houses FSBO. Title company took care of it all. If you are missing something, they will tell you what you are missing.

Title companies will know which forms are necessary, but may not be aware everything you need to CYA as a seller. If you get a contract at Office Depot ot Office Max and complete it, I'll look over for you and make a couple of suggestions. You don't know what you don't know until it's too late.
