Is it Mating Day or something? I have no fewer than six wasps whizzing around my balcony...even if I went out there with the spray can I wouldn't be able to get them all.

Are they alooking for hive locations yet again?? I went thru this several months ago when everytime I turned around there was a little "hut" built somewhere on the balcony.

I'm a former Yankee so please enlighten me about this wasp frenzy in November???

Default Wasp, or Yellow Jackets?

Yeah, I know, what's the difference? Well, compared to Yellow Jackets, wasps are tame, and don't bother people. Yes, they look menacing (wasps), but the chances of them going after you are slim to none, but whenever people see them close by, they automatically think they are being targeted; wasps are clumsy fliers.

You probably want to kill them? My advice would be just to knock their nest off where ever it is with a broom. People often use the chemical sprayers that spray in a stream, but for wasps, that is expensive, and unecessary. Plus, the spray leaves a smudge of some oily mess that eventually evaporates.

I know this may sound funny, but if you knock it down with a broom, wasps will flee, and yellow jackets will go after you!

Welcome to Texas!

We had a really bad wasp problem back in the 80's but they went away.

Whenever it's warm enough, the bugs hang around. It's in the 80s now for a few more days, wouldn't be surprised if some mosquitos come out, too.
