I don't know how you know what cities I've been to but I've been to and experience the nightlife in a couple of cities across the nation.

1.Atlanta(numerous times)
2.DFW(wayyy too many times I could remember not to mention I use to stay in Dallas plenty of summers)
3.Chicago
4.Detroit
5.San Fransico-Oakland
6.NYC
7.7 cities of VA
8.New Orleans
9.Austin
10.Baltimore
11. Cincinnati
12.Oklahoma City
13.Shreveport,LA
14.Memphis
15.Hartford,CT
15.St.Louis
16.Dayton,OH
17.Denver
18.Waco
19.Louisville
20.Jacksonville,FL
21.Birmingham,AL
22.Baton Rogue,LA
23.Beamount,TX
24.Killeen,TX

Now these are cities that I've been to where I actually experienced the nightlife..some cities I've done it several times. Enough time to get a vibe of what the night life is like constantly. Some maybe just once the weekend. Out of that whole list of the places I experienced night life..besides Atlanta,NYC,Chicago..I would say Houston has much more to offer then the other cities I've been to. And I even feel that Houston nightlife scene is more poppin then Chicago. Chicago over the years has fallen off a bit on the nightlife and esp. the club scene aint what it use to be when I use to visit in the late 90's/early 00's. The Bay Area had a ok nightlife but for a area it's size I felt it could have been alot better. Denver,Cinny,Ok City,Louisville are ghost towns for real. And you talk about a city for it's size should offer better nightlife go take a trip to Denver if you haven't already. I don't want to go skiing in the mountains at night time. Baton Rogue,Birmingham,Jacksonville, were all fun places for me but it didn't have a variety of nightlife choices outside of hood type parties. I enjoyed Memphis alot but doesn't have as much variety. Waco was just boring unless you were a Baylor student and even then that was pushing it. Detroit was cool but it doesn't leave you with alot of options, kinda depressing. Same with St.Louis..Hartford was ok..New Orleans is great for out of towners but I could see myself getting tired of FQ. The club scene outside of FQ is cool but it aint up to par with Houston level. DFW has a popping club scene. But I kinda agree w/ some Atlanta ppl that visit the city. It's like a baby Atlanta and I've never heard them downground Houston nightlife on such a level. But I could careless what a Atl native has to say. Austin has alot to offer for other crowds. Has little to offer as far as hip-hop crowds or black crowds. And I like Austin but I wouldn't rush to it unless I wanted to see mad drunk ppl on the streets.

I've never been to Miami or D.C. or L.A. but I would imagine they have pretty extensive nightlifes for my type of crowd. But you have Chicago, Atlanta,NYC,Miami,D.C.,L.A.,Houston,DFW. Houston to me is easily one of the top spots for 20 somethings in America. They have one of the most popular club web-sites (indmix.com) and not to mention I always hear Houston mentioned in several hip-hop/r&b songs and it aint for the job market and affordable house prices. I would even say outside of Atlanta, NYC,LA,Miami, Houston would be the 5th destination for black entertainers. You can downplay it all you want but it's alot more that's not downplaying Houston's night life
I've heard from a lot of people personally that Houston's African American nightclub secene is better than Atlanta's. I've heard people say that Atlanta's AA club scene is so overrated for no reason. They alos said that Houston's club scene is more down to Earth and not pretentious.

Why are you comparing small ass cities to places like Houston, Atlanta and Dallas? Btw, no need to keep insulting Waco every time you address me; I don't like Waco like that.

Btw, if you going to type lot of stuff like that; learn to uses spaces.

I've heard that too. They didn't say Atlanta's Black club scene was worse, but it was over hyped and no better than Houston's except more celebrities.

I know people from Atlanta who said that they couldn't believe how great and better Houston's AA scene was compared to Atlanta's. They joked how they never even knew Houston had so many black people, since it's so close to Mexico!

First of all I wasn't directing none of that towards you. That was directed towards Black Jack.

2nd, I put down cities that I've experienced a nightlife in. Blackjack included cities that were either the same size or smaller then Houston. Which is another reason why I included cities that were smaller then Houston. Last time I checked didn't know it was a rule to only put cities that were similar in population. Being that it's some cities that are considered small that offer more in nightlife then some major cities.

3rd, I didn't insult Waco because I didn't address you. I lived in Waco for 3 years and just gave my opinion about the cities nightlife along with other cities I've been to.

4th, you don't get paid to teach online space courses. And i'm pretty sure you still squinted to read my post so mission accomplished. G'day sir

Redlionjr, how would you compare Houston's AA nightlife to places like Atlanta, Philadelphia, and DFW? I'm asking you since you had more experience with these cities' nightlife.

People may say this is if they only go to the spots advertised on the radio. They only advertise the celebrity and bottle poppin parties on the radio. The best and real parties in Atlanta arent advertised on the radio but u have to be in the loop and be on the right email list to know about them. The only people who say Atlanta nightlife is overrated are the people who are not in the loop and people from NYC because NYC is much larger than Atlanta

evidently, some of y'all may be too young or inexperienced to know this, but "the party" is wherever you want it to be. if you know how to have a good time without all the "extra-ness" of pretentious nightclubs.

i could probably go into a redneck juke joint and have a good time.
