I’m going to move to Houston in a few days, I’m 26 years old, no kids and I wanted to know what the best place to live in Houston is (SAFE).
I’m looking for 1 bedroom apartment (from $500 to $700).
I am going to work in zip code 77081 but I don’t mind to commute to a safe place.
Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!!!
Happy New Year!!!

I used to live in 77081 at 5401 Chimney Rock Apartments. It's no Mayberry, but it's safe and gated. Not sure what their 1-bedroom rents are like, but 2 bedroom was $710 when I left in 2009 (I bought a house in Katy). Main complaint: the buildings are from the 70s so they don't have much in the way of insulation, so expect high electricity bills when you use your AC in the summer.

Anything along Westheimer should fit you. Seems like a million different places outside of the loop.

You are good for the Galleria. Close to 77081 - safe - close to nightlife.
