jluke, I could remember saying that I could see The Woodlands' demographics changing because it's close to large black communities. I may not have stepped foot in Houston, but come on, this is obvious.

I may be a bit out of line here but I'm so shock to read a post like this. I'm moving to Houston in 6 months (yeah - I'm so excited), it never occurred to me to seek out AA neighborhoods or all white neighborhoods. It really does not matter to me one way or the other - I get along with everyone!!! I've been told I'm very naive and I guess I'm still hoping that one day everyone will get along some day soon.

Most of Houston is very diverse but as one poster mentioned people tend to cluster by race.

I don't think that necessarily means anything bad .... I think people in general have a natural tendency to want to live near those who are similar in appearance to themselves and not because of some racial motive.

I am looking for similar neighborhoods in Houston, I prefer to live next to white people and well educated Hispanics (normally well educated Hispanic from Argentina, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Colombia and South America prefer to live next to white people) so I am looking for a mainly white subdivision.
This is what I am looking for: Mainly white population, good location, good schools, and houses that are not too old.

Any suggestions?
Fargo, North Dakota.

I am sorry if I have offended anyone, I am not even white but I didn't know that the fact that I like white neighborhoods was offensive for some people, it is not a racial thing I am not even white, but I like the way most American white families live, I am open to diversity, but I had a bad experience before because I bought a House and the neighborhood became mainly afro-american and I am sorry to say it but it became really bad.
It must be hard to be a white, when someone can not even say that he or she likes white neighborhoods =)

You are totally right, it is not a racial thing, It is just a preference. I am not even white so it has nothing to do with race.
