I combined an online Costco $180 gift card with a $100 referral rebate when I ordered DirectTV. Here is a thread on SlickDeals on how to do that.

Do you have any friends or family that do?

You could just sell the gift card for face value. :-)

I am sure I can find some. But how can I get stuff when the name is not the same as the card?

We actually do not have a Costco membership ourselves. It is not an issue.

My wife just went to Costco with a friend and was able to use the DirecTV gift card and her friend's Costco membership.

Why you are pay if you can hack anything?
Buy satellite, reseaver, buy card key, bad internet channel. Not more 15y.e./mo. and watch anything.
Read more about that here Card sharing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Comcast sales guy came to my door last night. They were offering 20Mbit internet + 350 cable channels (including HBO and Showtime) + phone service for $90/month.

I didn't look into the details much since I just switched in September, but it sounded like a pretty good deal.

This is what I had for one year but after that they increase it to $140.

I just negotiated a rate of $113 for right now for this package whihc is better than $140...

I am still doing the math and see if I go other direction, would that save me some money or get me mor bang for the buck....
