It's on Hwy 6:

99 RANCH MARKET (http://new.99ranch.com/show_info.php?page_id=457 - broken link)

Someone I know went today & said it was a madhouse.

Sweet! I love the ranch 99 in Los Angeles, and the one on I10 is pretty good too. It will be a welcome alternative to WelFarm, which I have not been a fan of.

If you like Chinese food, it is worth checking out. They ran some crazy specials at the other grand opening.

The one on I-10 is responsible for completely messing up the traffic on the feeder road. So many people are constantly entering and leaving and there's no traffic light.

I pass the one on I-10 all the time & thought it was a huge 99 cent store.

99 Ranch Market doesn't sound like Asian food to me, lol.

LOL!

That's what I thought when I first lived in San Diego!!! I never went. It wasn't 'til one of my friends invited me to go along that I realized it was an asian supermarket.

99 Ranch Market is huge and in my opinion overpriced. You can get most of the stuff in a H-Mart on Blalock much cheaper.
99 RM has a bunch of other little stores there. I like their bakery department

Yes, madness is the key word. They are always super crowded and the traffic in that area on IH10 is messed up, there isn't sufficent parking. Grand opening will be a madhouse b/c they run lots of specials, my friends to it at IH10 and said parking was a nightmare and will never do it again. Hopefully sugarland will have bigger parking and more cash registers.

No...I think one of the problems today was the parking. Friend said drive carefully and use someone else's car.

I was reading all the specials & giveaways for this opening week. It's no wonder it's a madhouse. Offering freebies to "my people" is like offering freebies to musicians (my other people).

Lmao, don't know about musicians but the rest ain't that far from the truth. Whenever I meet up with friends in Chinatown, I always try to park at the end of a row or far out. Too many uncoordinated parkers; and the rest don't care if they open their door and it scratches your car.
