It's simpler to fine you for failing signal your turns than it is to pay me and all the other drivers to employ our psychic powers trying to figure out your next move. =P

I'm sure that statistics would tell us that we're more likely to be harmed by stupid drivers than "pervs and thugs"..

Not ridiculous - that is a traffic law - to use turn signals when lane changing. I've been pulled over for that myself - in La Porte. I was on some back streets looking for a street in the dark and was lost, as I don't live or go to La Porte. Because there was nobody else on the road but me and the officer and I was going so slow and obviously lost - he let me off and directed me to the street on my notepad that I was searching for.

Good. Non-signallers drive me crazy. Funny how often their vehicles have body damage.

Here's a thought--getting a ticket for something like this is usually an indication that the cop was watching you, most likely because you were not driving very well.

Take the option of Defensive Driving to remove this infraction from your record and actually pay attention to the instruction. You may improve your skill level to the point that police will no longer so closely scrutinize every detail of your driving.

Hilarious that people are mad because they got a ticket for not using their turn signals. That shows how bad people drive in Houston.

Okay. This is my first ticket so can any body guide me on how to avoid the insurance company increase my auto insurance premium for the next 5-6 months ? If I just pay the fine ($185) will the record still show up in insurance company dbase? What is the best way to deal this kind of ticket, must be very rare?
