I wonder why people think 37F is cold in Houston?
Let's take a look at this article showing all the temperatures for 2012 in Houston

Houston breaks, and Galveston shatters annual heat record | SciGuy | a Chron.com blog

The coldest temperature in Houston in ALL of 2012 was 29F, maybe that's why people think that 37F is cold.

I went to Misssouri where it was 40F high and 25F low
third day there I got sick with a sore throat, headache, runny nose, etc. for the following 5 days until I came back to Houston.

I bet he would never have the balls to make fun of people that spend 9 months of the year complaining about Houston's heat.
No, he was just mocking the media for overhyping everything. Just as thet do for every little thunderstorm.

Really,
because I constantly hear them saying that 45F is "cool weather"
that is "cool" up North, that's "cold" down here.

45 degrees is cool weather down here, but the media freeks out when it begins to snow or ice. No one is panicking over 35 degree weather.

I hate to say this to all those that think Houston 45 degrees is just "cool". but with the humidity always in the air, the chill of cold air here in Houston to me is a lot worse. So 45 degrees here in Houston is like 30 degrees in upstate NY where I am from originally. I hope this brings a new perspective.

The referenced article explains further Humidity and Temperature Perception
