When this phone number calls, its a recorded message saying something like "Attention all Reliant etc etc and all Texas Energy customers". I get a call from this phone number 2-3 times daily. At the end of the message, you can select an option to "opt out" or something like that and I did that but I am still getting the phone call all the time. Does anyone else get this phone call constantly? What can I do to stop it? Should I just block the number?

I was getting that call....until I blocked them. I love being able to do that! They are the "Saving Americans Energy Corp" or something to that effect. Something about being able to take advantage of tax credits. They are not actually selling anything, so they do not fall under the "Do Not Call" laws.

Yes...and I was so sick and tired of the calls and the non-working "opt-out" feature that I pushed the "make an appointment" button in order to reach a live person. When I told her that I was not interested in an energy audit because there had been one previously, she became smart-mouthed and argumentative. I don't recall what else said to her, but the calls stopped. If they hadn't, I was prepared to contact local broadcast and print news sources about investigating them as an annoyance.

Actually, my home is a historic property and vinyl windows, steel doors, blown-in wall insulation, etc., are not applicable to its restoration.

Your phone has to have the ability to block. It would be in the settings/menu of the phone.

They are not technically selling anything, so they do not fall under that law. I tried.

We have been getting numerous calls from them on a daily basis. If you google the telephone number you will see alot of complaints about them and in other states too. As others have posted, the "opt-out" feature of their robo call does not work for stopping the calls. I blocked their telephone number. HOPE IT WORKS!
