I would see an Allergy Specialist and get the tests done. Its very fast and simple.

Just wondering if anyone else noticed a spike in their symptoms over the last few days. Thought I'd get an idea before even considering hauling myself off to my PCP who would just would tell me to take my allergy pills anyway.

Thanks!

That's because the second time you get it, Mono turns into Stereo.

DH finally got the shots after years of being allergic to everything that grows in Texas. He hardly ever has discomfort now. I think he had a headache and stopped up head for 50 years. Wished he had gone for the shots years ago.

Some of us aren't as flirty as Lakeisha and haven't had any of the above.

Yes my allergies have been bad the last three weeks or so. Usually the really cold weather seems to keep them at bay, but this year appears to be an exception. Claritin D has been working for me this go-round (it seems I have to change my allergy medication every few months because it stops working for a year or two).

Does anyone else seem to suffer more in the fall than in the spring? My allergies usually start up about late January and last till about late November to mid-December but are really, really bad from about March-June and again August-October. Having 10 months of strong allergy symptoms and just feeling run down all the time is really getting old.

I don't like using it, but it appears I'll have to break out the Neti pot.

Yes, my allergies started acting up last year about the same time in a bad way. I used to just take some OTC meds to keep them somewhat in check in previous years and never thought about going to see an ENT. Then last year I ended up getting serious sinus infection, and saw a doc about that. He said that this was an effect of my allergies. Since then I've been on Nasonex and Allegra (during spring and fall months) and it's been great. I can actually breathe normally.

That being said, I started taking the allergy pills again couple weeks ago when my symptoms started again. It's all good now.

Those are all different names for the same virus, not the rusty/itchy pants kind. (But I'm sure Laqisha could give you both. )

Again I'd be more worried about cold and flu right now, esp if you don't share your forks & cups with everyone. Not to fear, when this season is over the oak trees will drive everyone insane.

Read the obscure and fine print on some of those medications. DH took Claritan for years. Then he had upper GI problems and we discovered after him taking ulcer medicine that the 1st or 2nd. generation Claritan caused esophageal perforations.

My allergies simply never stop in Houston. They were bad in Chicago in the summer, they were a bit worse in Louisiana, but they are the worst they have ever been here in Houston and they go all year long with some days worse than others.
