I am unemployed and my daughter is ill but I can't find any place in the Houston area that will see her because I have no medical insurance.

Rather they will see her but I don't have the money because I lost my job. I have out of work for a month and now it seems unemployment won't kick in for another 2 to 3 weeks from all I have seen.

I have applied for assistance but again the system has been going back and forth for about a month and it has been delayed again for 2 more weeks.

I am at my wits end and I need some help. I have all the numbers for help but no one can help at least that is all I am hearing.

If there is a doctor or hospital that I can take my daughter to for treatment and get medicine please someone let me know.

Depends on what she might be ill with. If it's something like a cold, flu, infection, vomiting, etc. then I wouldn't bother with a hospital or ER unless you can't wait till morning. I know a lot of people in your situation that have used HEB's RediClinic. I think either Walgreens or CVS have something similar as well.

RediClinic: Homepage

They are staffed by nurse practitioners who are qualified to diagnose and treat "mild" illnesses and such. However they close at 8PM during weekdays.

Any ER has to see her. They may refer you someplace else, but they are compelled by law to examine her. Might take a while.

I agree that UT should see her without questions.
