Hi all,

I live in the UAE, and I am landing in Houston with an "immigrant Visa" and i will become a PR after the visa is endorsed in the airport.
I know by becoming a PR, I am authorized to work in USA. However, i earned my degree as "Electrical Engineer" from the American University in Sharjah ( it is ABET accredited) in 2005, and i have 5 years of work experience as " a design Electrical Engineer" in constructions.
is it going to be a problem for me to work as an Electrical Engineer in Houston since i didn't earn my degree nor my experience in the US?
Thanks in advance for your input.

With that much experience, where you got your degree will not matter much. You just need to show how you experience is relevant to the position you're applying and you'll be fine.

Now, if you had just graduated, then the answer would be very different.
