We are looking to relocate and are interested in a house located in Harper's Landing...a few questions:
Why are the home prices here so much cheaper than in the other parts of the Woodlands?
Is Harper's Landing in the 500 year flood plain zone?
Is it as safe there as in other areas of The Woodlands?

We are relocating from Utah and are excited to live in Texas!

Thanks for your help!

It is the only part of The Woodlands that is east of I-45 and is located next to a railroad track. You would have to get on 242 or go up the feeder road to FM 1488 and head back south to either; go to work or go into The Woodlands.

The only people who consider Harper's Landing to be part of The Woodlands, are people who live in Harper's Landing

Another consideration of the location is that there are no schools built in Harper's Landing. The high school is a mile or so west of I-45 on 242, and that's the closest. The elementary (Powell) is more like 6-8 miles from Harper's Landing. Just something to keep in mind if you have kids.
