Hello all!

It's been a while since I've posted, but wanted to let all of the 'foodies' in Houston (and the surrounding areas) know about the upcoming Menu of Menus event. This is my first year in Houston and I've heard a bit of buzz about the event.

From what I understand, it's a big collection of restaurants from around Houston and you get to eat and drink all sorts of different things.

Anyways, here is a write up on the event if any of you are interested!

Hope to see some of you all there!

Mr. Krinkle,

It's actually not free from what I can tell, but it seems well worth the ticket if you get food, booze and entertainment with admission. A lot of the events the Houston Press has end up being a great value. The one draw back is, it's on a Tuesday night. I wish they'd schedule these things on weekends!

Not actually free -- $40 in advance, $50 at the door.

Don't you think the 40/50/80 cost is a lot to stand 'in line' (I'm learning ) to wait to eat food from a paper plate or drink from a plastic cup?

These events don't do it for me.

re: income taxes as soon as my interest and pension statements hit the mailbox mine are filed and the refund filed under caviar and champagne ie January. I can't work out why anyone would wait..........

Yeah, it's not free but I assumed everyone knew it's $40 to get in the door. The money goes toward Discovery Green and The Center for Hearing and Speech, but I'm not sure how much.
