I was being sarcastic lol.

Speaking of food, that's a cuisine that Houston shares with Atlanta: southern. And both cities are known for it. I've never heard LA or soul food mentioned in the same sentence.

Do LA and Houston even share any cuisine? I honestly don't know. I've always heard that Mexican food in LA was more of the authentic variety and that Baja stuff. Not the Tex-Mex that you'll find in Houston.

But were in the Houston forum. And Dallas is the city that Houston wants to have nothing in common with and its the city Houston wants distance from.
Dallas may resemble Houston, but Houston is Dallas and a lot more different vibes and things going on to be limited to Dallas.

It is like saying LA is most like Anaheim.

Its not like saying that at all. LA is a major city, Anaheim is a suburb. Houston and Dallas are both major cities.

I dont disagree with the first part that Houston and Dallas have different things going on. But of all the cities listed they are the most alike.

At the end of it all, I prefer to let Houston be Houston.

Don't impress yourself; the last place we'd want to be like is Miami.

No wonder Texas is always thought as place full of rednecks.

And people from Florida continue to flee it for a better living in redneck-filled Texas.

"Poor" people from Florida. You will never see people from Florida with high disposable income (Jews, Europeans, some Cubans, Venezuelans, etc) moving to Texas. Thank you.

Actually, outside Miami, there are a hell of a lot of rednecks in Florida.
