LOL! What were some of those posters talking about?????? Wierd!

I was trying to look up the Caribbean population myself out of curiosity, but I couldn't find any data on it. It seems like Houston should be a mecca for Caribbeans like Miami. People talk about how Houston's climate is so similar to the Caribbean and Africa, so it's surprising that it doesn't rank with Miami and New York in this category, IMO.

I think Atlanta has a bigger Caribbean population than us; they tend to stay on the East Coast. I don't know about a Little Africa, but it might exist. The others probably have heard of it, but I haven't.

It does, but it is mediocre compared to the giants of course. Atlanta has alot of festivals and food joints. Houston may have a higher % of Caribbeans in its black population than Atlanta considering that Atlanta's black population is larger, IDK though. Just guessing to spark up an interesting conversation.

I know one thing. Caribbean food is good. If the Caribbean population gets big in Houston, then I think Houston would become a food mecca, LOL! I'm just having morning humor.

But its not and I dont see why its surprising. Houston isnt going to have a huge amount of people from every part of the world. People from the Caribbean stick to the East Coast. As jluke mentioned Atlanta definately has more. Boston, New York, Philly, Hartford, DC, and Florida are all the main spots for Caribbean immigrants.
