My wife and I recently took a trip to see the new model Westin Homes in Cypress.

My wife immediately fell in love with the floorplan (believe we were looking at the "Kingston Model"). Anyhow looking at it, Cypress is a bit too far out for us

We also heard about the landfill smell some homeowners have at SCR which is alot closer to us.

But does anyone know if Westin offers buyers the option to build on your own lot?

Thank You in Advance!

My wife and I built the castlebrook by westin in scr. We heard all the bad things about the landfill. We have been here for 2 months and its been windy and we do not smell anything. We love it out here but the only thing the traffic is bad but there is ways around it, the back roads. It's a good place to start a family.

@ Sapowell

SCR looks like a great community. I guess the traffic around 288 would be the only drawback... It would be another thing we would have to consider.

Thanks for your input!

I'm ALSO in LOVE with the Westin homes (Barcelona-Elevation N with the 3 car garage). I do not want to pay any HOA and build my own home/mini lake. If anyone knows a great construction company please let me know. AND if the Westin homes can build on your own lot.

Call Westin Corporate and ask them. They are a local builder, so they might be willing.

I own one. Barcelona

Take the floor plan to Design Tech Homes for example. Let them tweak it and call it a day.
Design Tech will do it, they just have to make it unique.
