My family and I are moving to Katy this summer. I will be leaving my current company to work basically on my own and will not have benefits of course. We will be needing to get a good Insurance company for our Healthcare. I'm curious what is the most widely accepted in that area and what a good combo of coverage and reasonable rates would be. My wife and I are 35 and we have two girls one 13 and one 9. Thanks for any info.

Blue Cross/Blue Shield or Aetna. You can use ehealthinsurance.com to get quotes from all the main companies, just make sure to read the fine print to make sure the coverage is what suits you best. If you incorporate yourself as an S-Corp or LLC you can deduct your health insurance premiums as a business expense even with a personal policy (you can not get business health coverage unless you have employees and you will pay double for it). You can also give yourself an employee benefit plan to reimburse all your out of pocket medical expenses and deduct 100% of those. Talk to a CPA for more details.
